Both Rights and Obligations

Human rights entail both rights and obligations. States assume obligations and duties under international law to respect, protect and to fulfil human rights. The obligation to respect means that States must refrain from interfering with or curtailing the enjoyment of human rights. The obligation to protect requires States to protect individuals and groups against human rights abuses.

The obligation to fulfill means that States must take positive action to facilitate the enjoyment of basic human rights. At the individual level, while we are entitled our human rights, we should also respect the human rights of others.The International Relief & Human Rights Initiative is bringing a Great Contribution to promote Justice Equal rights and Democracy and to advocating on Human rights abuse as our priorities agenda in Great Lakes Region of Africa and other places in Africa is to fight against Terrorism and corruption and supporting Good Governance in the Region,

This is through raising the bars of research not only among the institutional students/universities and colleges but also among professionals. Research among the students is through creating an environment and avenues for students to fully access internships and volunteering services
